The Mercedes 190SLR was developed, because it's compatators like for example were very succesfull in racing and hillclimbs.
Aluminium doors without windows and doorhandles were fitted, the bonnet was replaced by one with less weight and the front window was replaced by a lower shaped plexiglass window.
The front and rear bumpers,strips above the wheels and heating system where removed.
As a result the weight reduction was around 200 kilogram.
This stunning Mercedes 190SLR recreation, is fitted with the bucket seats as where original mounted in the Mercedes 190SLR.
A fire extinguisher is between the seats, also a hardtop and removable windows come with the car to be able to make tours in the winter.
The suspension is lower then the normal Mercedes 190SL, and fitted with new Bilstein shock absorbers.
But what makes this Mercedes 190SL Rennsport really special, is that is is fitted with an ULTRA rare Judson Supercharger.
Only a handful of these superchargers where produced due to the fact that the original 190SL was not very stro
